Gono Bishwabidyalay on Monday held a coordination meeting with law enforcement and security agencies on the occasion of the central students鈥� union election of the university scheduled to be held on September 25.
At the initiative of the discipline and security committee, the meeting was held in the meeting room of the vice-chancellor of the university, said a press release.
Gono Bishwabidyalay vice-chancellor Professor Md Abul Hossain chaired the meeting.
GB treasurer, registrar, deans of various faculties, heads of departments, chief election commissioners and all election commissioners, all members of the discipline and security committee, high-ranking officials of various branches of the security forces, including the police, national intelligence agency and Ansar were present in the meeting.
Various issues including the deployment of security force members throughout the campus to ensure a smooth conduct of the election, mandatory display of identity cards by students, and monitoring of voting and counting through CCTV cameras were discussed in the meeting.
