A Level 3 Coach Course organised by the Bangladesh Cricket Board got underway at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Monday.Â
The course, which is scheduled to run until September 19, brings together a distinguished team of local and international instructors and blends theoretical learning with practical, field-based application, according to a press release given by the BCB. Â
The educators and tutors panel includes BCB President Aminul Islam, Ross Turner, Alan Campbell, Geoff Lawson, Bangladesh spin bowling coach Mushtaq Ahmed and Natasha Campbell.Â
‘The BCB Level 3 Coach Course is designed not only to deepen technical and tactical understanding but also to enhance each coach’s capacity to lead programmes, manage teams and contribute meaningfully to high-performance cricket environments,’ the press release said.Â
‘Successful completion of the course leads to BCB Level 3 Coaching Certification, recognised nationally and aligned with international coaching standards,’ it added.Â
Turner, who previously worked with BCB in various capacities, reflected on the objective of the course.Â
‘It’s really about being able to service their needs and to be able to enrich their knowledge and to build their capacity as coaches to better serve the players,’ he said.Â
‘And what we’re really saying in essence is that their performance, like all coaches, needs to improve constantly, and then that will enable standards to be raised and for playing standards to be sort of connected to that,’ he added. Â
‘I would like to thank the Bangladesh Cricket Board for this opportunity. I expect to learn about the game, especially the greater details, from this course. I hope this will be beneficial for serving Bangladesh cricket,’ said Enamul Haque Junior, one of the participants and a former Test player.Â
