The scheduled National Cricket League T20 matches on Monday were abandoned without a ball being bowled due to heavy rain at the Rajshahi Divisional Ground.
Barishal Division was scheduled to face Dhaka in the first match, while Chattogram was supposed to meet Khulna in the second game.
The BCB tournament committee adjusted the schedule by relocating matches from Bogura to Rajshahi due to unsuitable conditions, but ultimately, the relentless rain had final say.聽
Earlier, the opening day was marred by persistent rain, which saw Dhaka Metro and Rajshahi鈥檚 match shortened to five overs, which Metro won by seven wickets in Rajshahi, while the match between Sylhet and Rangpur was abandoned in Bogura.
Meanwhile, the BCB technical committee decided to postpone the matches scheduled for September 16 to 17. As a result, all matches scheduled in Rajshahi and Bogura have been postponed by a day, meaning the Sylhet phase will now begin on September 22.
