
A court served a show cause notice to Sylhet deputy commissioner Md Sarower Alam in a case asking him to submit a written reply within 15 working days of issuance of the notice.
The plaintiff’s counsel Ershadul Haque confirmed the issuance of the show-cause notice against the deputy commissioner, also chairman of the trusty board of The Sylhet Khajanchibari International School and College, an English medium institution.
‘Senior assistant judge of the Sadar court issued the show-cause notice on Thursday in the case filed by the educational institution’s senior teacher Abeda Haque challenging a decision of suspending her and another teacher,’ lawyer Ershadul said.
Sylhet DC Sarower Alam, however, told ¶¶Òõ¾«Æ· that the order passed by the court has not reached his office as of Monday afternoon.
Earlier on Wednesday, the trusty board suspended Abeda Haque and her colleague Md Rukan Uddin on charges of taking over the responsibility of vice-principal in-charge (Female) and vice-principal in-charge (male) respectively of the institution without any appointment letter or promotion awarded by proper authorities.
