The opening day of the National Cricket League T20 was marred by persistent rain, which saw Dhaka Metro beat Rajshahi division by seven wickets in a shortened to five-over game in Rajshahi, while the match between Sylhet and Rangpur was abandoned in Bogura.
In the day鈥檚 match, Naim Sheikh-led Metro romped to their first win, following a 12-ball 30 cameo off Mahfijul Islam.
After being asked to bat first, Shabbir Rahman scored a brisk 30 off 15 balls, including one four and three sixes, while Meherob Hasan鈥檚 15 off nine deliveries helped Rajshahi post 60-3 in five overs.
In reply, Mahfijul starred with the bat, hitting four boundaries and a six to seal the match with three balls remaining.聽
Meanwhile, the Technical Committee and Tournament Committee of BCB on Sunday, decided to relocate two matches of the ongoing NCL T20 from Bogura to Rajshahi due to heavy rain and poor outfield.
As a result, the game scheduled for September 15 between Dhaka Division and Barishal Division has been moved to Rajshahi.
Additionally, the match between Dhaka Division and Rangpur Division, originally set for September 16 in Bogura, has also been shifted to Rajshahi.
