Rastra Sanskar Andolan, a partner of Ganatantra Mancha, urged for national unity among political parties for the implementation of the July charter and holding the next general elections in coming February.

The party on Saturday organised a press conference at its central office on Topkhana Road at which its chief coordinator Hasnat Quaiyum called on the political parties to build consensus for realising July charter and holding the elections.


Otherwise, the country would plunge into another political crisis, Hasnat warned.

After long discussions in the Consensus Commission, political parties had agreed in 84 issues and now a system should be chosen for the July charter implementation, he suggested.

Rastra Saskar Andolan proposed in the consensus commission聽 for holding national elections and constitutional reform at the same time, calling for taking opinions of the judiciary division for holding a special elections for the purpose, aligning with Section 106 of the constitution, Hasnat added.聽

Party central leaders Syed Hasibuddin Hossain, Didarul Bhuiyan, Mahbubur Rahman Selim, Zakia Shishir and others attended the programme.聽聽
