
The Department of Environment held a children art competition to mark the World Ozone Day 2025 at the Paribesh Bhaban at Agargaon in Dhaka on Friday.
With the theme ‘Biggan Sammata Karma, Ozone Rakshai Barma’, the event drew participation from around 350 children and adolescents under the age of 16, including children with disabilities, said a press release.
Participants were divided into four age-based groups. The event aimed to raise awareness among the younger generation about the importance of protecting the ozone layer and promoting climate-friendly actions.
Director general of the DoE Md Kamruzzaman, air quality management director Md Ziaul Haque, director for administration Md Abdullah Al Masud, and national project director of the ODS Phase-10 P Md Mohiuddin Manik, among others, were present at the event.
