Biman Bangladesh Airlines has taken decision to postpone the flight operation on Dhaka-Kathmandu route till 6:00pm on Wednesday in the prevailing security situations.

Earlier on Tuesday in a press release Biman said that the flight on the route had been postponed till 2:00pm on Wednesday.


Biman’s customer care executive Sharmin Sultana confirmed at about 11:00am on Wednesday that the flight operation on the route would now be postponed till 6:00pm on the day.

‘The resumption of the operations is relying on the situation in Nepal,’ she added.

In the Tuesday press release the passengers on Nepal route were urged to get the latest information from Biman’s call centre (13636 or +88019610913636).

Earlier a Biman Bangladesh flight with 116 passengers was not allowed to land in Kathmandu on Tuesday due to ‘unfavourable conditions’ at Nepal’s Tribhuvan International Airport in the prevailing security situations.

The flight returned to Dhaka.

The Biman flight BG 371 left Dhaka to Kathmandu on Tuesday at 12:30pm.

But the flight did not get permission from the Tribhuvan International Airport for landing and then it returned to Dhaka

As a result, the flight BG 372 on the Kathmandu-Dhaka route was cancelled.
