Bangladesh Finance PLC and United International University signed a strategic memorandum of understanding on Tuesday to enhance graduate employability, foster research and innovation and expand financial literacy initiatives.

According to a press release, this partnership will connect academia with industry through skill development workshops, career training, internships and job fair participation for UIU students.


Faculty members will also benefit from joint training programmes, research collaborations and financial literacy campaigns.

Both institutions will further explore opportunities in startup financing, CSR projects and innovation mentorship, alongside exclusive financial benefits for UIU alumni and employees.

Commenting on the collaboration, Md Kyser Hamid, managing director and chief executive officer of Bangladesh Finance, said, ‘This partnership reflects our vision to empower future leaders by bridging the gap between education and industry. Together with UIU, we aim to create a stronger talent pipeline and drive positive change in society.’

Md Abul Kashem Mia, vice-chancellor of United International University, added, ‘UIU is committed to preparing students for the real world, and this MoU with Bangladesh Finance will open new doors of opportunity in employability, research, and innovation. It is a step forward in shaping future-ready graduates.’

The agreement was signed at United International University campus in the capital, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations, marking the start of a long-term collaboration to empower students, faculty and the community.
