Gobindaganj Highway thana police recovered a body of an unidentified person along the Rangpur-Bogura Highway in Kalitala area under Gobindaganj upazila in Gaibandha Monday morning.
According to the police, locals found the body at the side of the highway in an abandoned condition and informed them.
A team of the Gobindaganj Highway thana police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Gaibandha General Hospital morgue.
Officer-in-charge of the Highway thana Md Moazzem Hossain said that that victim might have been killed after being hit by an unidentified vehicle on the highway.
The body could not be properly identified as it was severely damaged in the road accident, he added.
