
Southeast Bank PLC and Jahangirnagar University on September 4 signed an agreement to launch co-branded cards, said a press release.
Under the agreement, Southeast Bank will launch co-branded credit cards for faculty members and staffs and co-branded prepaid cards for students of Jahangirnagar University.
The faculty members and staffs will receive lifetime free credit cards with appropriate credit limits.
The prepaid card for students will offer simple usage and online transaction facilities, enabling them to make payments such as application fees to foreign universities as well as other payments domestic and worldwide.
The co-branded cards will feature the university鈥檚 logo as part of their branding.
The agreement marks a collaborative initiative aimed at streamlining financial and lifestyle services by Southeast Bank credit and prepaid cards for the faculty members, students, and administrative staff of the university.
Southeast Bank deputy managing director Md Masum Uddin Khan and JU treasurer M Abdur Rab signed the agreement at the university premises.
JU vice-chancellor Muhammad Kamrul Ahsan attended as chief guest.
From Jahangirnagar University, key attendees included pro vice-chancellor (academic) Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman and pro vice-chancellor (admin) Sohel Ahmed were present.
From Southeast Bank, card division head and senior executive vice-president Md Abdus Sabur Khan, executive vice-president Mohammad Ashiquzzaman Khan, senior vice-president and logistics and general services division head Md Musfiqur Rahman and senior assistant vice-president and Hemayetpur branch head Mohammad Maniur Rahman were in attendance.
