Ministry of primary and mass education warned people about fraud, saying that the issue of providing financial incentives from the ministry was completely baseless and fabricated.
According to a statement issued on Friday, the ministry has come to know about a fraud using the name and picture of Abu Taher Md Masud Rana, secretary of the ministry of primary and mass education, and a mobile phone number.
They are calling various officials on WhatsApp, pretending to be the secretary, and asking for credit card and bank account information from the officials by luring them with financial incentives from the ministry’s adviser.
The ministry said that if anyone was asked for any sensitive information, including credit card and bank account information, in that regard, it was requested not to provide it.
In addition, it has been advised to avoid contacting anyone from any number in this regard.
‘In addition, if you receive any such call, you have been requested not to be confused and to file a complaint with the ministry of primary and mass education or the nearest police station,’ the statement read.
