Dhaka Bank PLC recently inaugurated a 15-day Financial Literacy Programme for the Youth under its flagship initiative ‘Tarunner Utshab 2025.’

Dhaka Bank managing director (current charge) AKM Shahnawaj inaugurated the programme at the bank’s head office in the capital.


Bangladesh Bank’s Financial Inclusion Department director Md Iqbal Mohasin was present as a special guest.

Among others, Dhaka Bank deputy managing directors AMM Moyen Uddin, Md Mostaque Ahmed, Sheikh Abdul Bakir, SEVP and retail banking head HM Mostafizur Rahaman, SEVP and CRM division head Mukarrum Hossain Chowdhury, EVP and IT division head Mohammad Asifur Rahman were present in the ceremony.

In the programme, youth representatives from different public and private universities of the country were present.

All branch managers and operations teams were virtually connected.

Under this initiative, Dhaka Bank is organising financial literacy programmes nationwide through its branches and sub-branches from September 1 to September 15, aiming to promote financial awareness among the nation’s youth segment.

During this period, the youth will also be able to open their first savings account digitally with Dhaka Bank, enabling them to start their financial journey with ease and convenience.

The programme has set a target to reach and engage approximately 10,000 young participants nationwide, focusing on building awareness about savings, responsible borrowing, digital banking, and safe financial practices.
