A new cultural platform titled ‘Tuned’ by OpenHouse began its journey organising a cultural event comprising stand-up comedy performances and a band music show at the Yamaha Flagship Centre Auditorium in Tejgaon, Dhaka on Thursday.

Young comedians Tayeb Tazwar, Akhlaq Siddiqi and Sarah Zaman staged stand-up comedy satirising the contemporary political situation, the education system, religious extremism and the transport system of the city.


Singers Raihan Sardar and Rayhan Islam Shuvro sang their original songs and covered popular contemporary Bengali, English and Hindi songs at the programme.

Besides, Bangladeshi experimental rock bands Apekkhik and Faahun, led by Farhan, sang their original songs and covered songs as per the request of the audience.

‘We plan to organise monthly cultural shows featuring young musical talents and comedians to nurture the contemporary vibrant cultural scene of the city,’ said one of the organisers, Rahin Sami.
