Bay Leasing and Investment Limited on Tuesday elected Fatema Zahir Majumder as the new chairperson of its board of directors.
The decision was taken at the company鈥檚 board meeting held on the day, the firm said in a press release.
Majumder has long been associated with Bay Leasing, serving with distinction as a member of both its board of directors and the audit committee.
She is also recognised as a prominent woman entrepreneur, actively involved with various professional and social organisations at home and abroad.
Majumder holds bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 degrees in English language and literature and later pursued studies in law.
Alongside her corporate role, she has nearly two decades of experience teaching communicative English and continues to play a significant role in the education sector.
