Teachers, students and local people formed a human chain and brought out a procession, demanding withdrawal of a ‘false’ case against the Chowrangi Secondary School headteacher, at Chowrangi of Kumarkhali in Kushtia on Sunday.
The protesters brought out a procession from the school premises and later gathered at Chourangi Bazar crossing. The students alleged that their headteacher, Sheikh Rezaul Karim, had been falsely implicated in a ‘politically-motivated’ case.
They said that before the 2018 general election, an attack was carried out on him by Awami League activists and the headteacher filed a case after August 5, but the accused in that case later conspired and lodge the false case against him.
