Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Programme of the Finance Division, under the finance ministry, organised a workshop on ‘Bangladesh Industry Research Development and Innovation (BIRDI) Grants’ on Monday.
The event, held at Hotel Intercontinental Dhaka, aimed to guide prospective applicants through the process of submitting an expression of interest for innovative grants.
Additional secretary and SICIP executive programme director Mohammed Walid Hossain delivered the welcome address.
‘We encourage all eligible applicants to actively compete for this grant, which represents a unique opportunity to transform innovative ideas into tangible industry solutions,’ he said.
Finance Division additional secretary Ziaul Abedin was present among other guests.
The workshop served as a key platform to disseminate information on the EOI submission process and the selection criteria for the grants.
These grants are a central component of SICIP’s initiative to fund practical, industry-led solutions that drive growth and innovation.
