
The Directorate General of Health Services confirmed one death and no new Covid-19 infections in the country over a 24-hour period from 8:00am Saturday to 8:00am Sunday.
One more Covid-19 related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, taking the number of deaths from the viral disease to 32 since January this year, according to a statement of the DGHS.
During the period, 24 samples were tested, yielding a positivity rate of 0 per cent, the statement added.
The cumulative death toll since the pandemic began in 2020 stands at 29,531.
The first case of coronavirus was detected in the country on March 8, 2020. On March 18 of the same year, the first person died from the virus in the country.
