With logistical support from the law, justice and parliament ministry, the NCC secretariat was set up at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban in Dhaka.

The charter is yet to be finalised . Amid the demand from several political parties, the commision is analysing potential pathways to make the charter legally obligatory for implementation.

Later, Justice Emdadul Haque and Md Ayub Miah replaced Justice Shah Abu Nayeem Mominur Rahman and Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury, respectively.

After the formation of the commission, political parties were provided with 166-point reforms-related recommendations for their comments.

Given their feedbacks, the National Consensus Commission held the first-round dialogue separately with 38 political parties between March 20 and May 19.

聽Its second round of dialogue between June 3 and July 31 covered collective discussions with 30 political parties. The NCC vice-chair, Professor Ali Riaz, presided over all the discussions.
