Midland Bank PLC has been awarded ‘Excellence in Prepaid Cards (Associate Client)’ at Visa Excellence Awards held on August 4 at Hotel Sheraton in the capital.
The award ceremony was part of ‘Visa Leadership Conclave 2025’ organised by Visa.
Bangladesh Bank governor Ahsan H Mansur was present at the event.
MDB cards head Md Abed-Ur-Rahman received the award from BB executive director and spokesperson Arif Hossain Khan.
Among others, Visa country manager for Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan Sabbir Ahmed, MDB managing director and chief executive officer Md Ahsan-uz Zaman, chief technology officer Md Nazmul Huda Sarkar and retail distributions division head Md Rashed Akter were present.
This marks the third consecutive year that Midland Bank has received this recognition, underscoring the bank’s commitment to consistent excellence, customer-centric innovation and its strong collaboration with Visa in the prepaid card segment, the release said.
