
Banophool Adibashi Green Heart College has observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the Milestone tragedy that killed at least 34 people, most of them were primary-level students of the educational institution located in the capital’s Uttara.
On Wednesday, during regular classes, students stood in their respective classrooms and observed a minute of silence, said a press release.
Founder and chairman of the college governing-body Ven Prajnananda Mahathera, rector Professor Tarun Kanti Barua and principal Sanjoy Kumar Dhar observed a minute of silence in solidarity with the students.
All the teachers and officers of the college participated in the event as part of the mourning and tribute to the students who died in the Milestone tragedy.
Prajnananda Mahathera said, ‘We have lost the most beautiful and promising flowers of the city. The lifeless burnt bodies of the children have torn our hearts. We pay deep respect to all those who died untimely in the tragic plane crash. We are deeply saddened.’
Banophool Adibashi Green Heart College family extended its condolences to the bereaved family members.
