
A one-day China-Bangladesh Health and Medical Exhibition is scheduled to be held in the capital on August 8.
The exhibition titled ‘Nihao! China-Bangladesh Health and Medical Advancement Expo’ will be open for all from 9:00am to 5:00pm at Hotel Sarina at Banani.
The Belt and Road Healthcare Center in Bangladesh with assistance from the Chinese Bangladesh Alumnae Association of Bangladesh, China-Bangladesh Post Graduate Doctors’ Alumnae Association and Amra Nari are organising the exhibition.
The Belt and Road Healthcare Center is a global initiative headquartered in China that connects patients with that country’s advanced healthcare system, while at the same time promoting Chinese medical technology.
At a press conference held at the National Press Club on Wednesday, Belt and Road Healthcare Center, Bangladesh’s chief executive Maruf Molla said that the exhibition was not merely a showcase, but will also help strengthen healthcare exchange between Bangladesh and China.Â
‘Our goal is to introduce advanced Chinese medical services and make high-quality, technology-driven healthcare more accessible and affordable for Bangladeshi patients,’ he added.
Representatives, doctors and officials from more than 12 Chinese hospitals will attend the event, where visitors can receive on-site and online consultations with Chinese medical specialists, along with free services such as invitation letters, visa assistance, translation support, and airport pick-up in China.
The event will also offer facilities, such as, direct invitation for treatment from reputed Chinese hospitals, on-the-spot visa support and guidance for travel arrangements to China, and full assistance for patients, including airport transfers and interpreter services in China.Â
Participating Chinese hospitals are Boao Yiling Hospital, Fosun Health and Shenzhen Hengsheng Hospital, Foshan Fosun Chancheng Hospital, Guangzhou Fosun Chancheng Hospital, Guangzhou Shengmei Hospital, Guangzhou Fuda Cancer Hospital, Kunming Tongren Hospital, Modern Cancer Hospital and Xing Mei Hospital, Guangzhou, China.
Amra Nari founder Zahidur Rahman and Track Medi Services founder and chief executive officer Md Rashedul Hassan were also present at the press briefing.
