Bank Asia PLC鈥檚 Shariah supervisory committee on July 28 held its 49th meeting at Bank Asia Tower, Karwan Bazar in the capital, said a press release.
Committee chairman Shahed Rahmani presided over the meeting.
Among others, committee member secretary Shah Mohammad Wali Ullah, Faqih member sMuhammad Mufazzal Hussain Khan, Muhammad Ismail Hossain and Md Shamsul Alam attended the meeting.
Managing director (current charge) ANM Mahfuz along with other high officials was also present.
The meeting discussed important issues, including Sharia compliance of the bank鈥檚 Islamic banking activities, service quality improvement, investment management and reviewing of the management methods of Sharia-based products.
At the meeting, committee chairman called for Bank Asia鈥檚 Sharia-based banking activities to be more dynamic and effective. In addition, he also suggested further enhancing compliance as per Sharia guidelines.
