The Bangladesh Cricket Board on Monday announced a 25-member preliminary squad for the forthcoming Asia Cup, scheduled to be held in the United Arab Emirates from September 9 to 28.

The players will report for a fitness camp at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on August 6, stated a BCB press release.


The national team’s coaching and support staff is expected to arrive in Bangladesh from August 11 ahead of the skill-based training phase, starting on August 15.

The camp will then move to Sylhet on August 20, as the Tigers will host the Netherlands for a three-match T20I series as part of their preparation for the Asia Cup.

Liton Das has been named as the captain of the side, with several players from the ongoing Bangladesh ‘A’ team setup have been drafted into the preliminary squad.

BCB on Monday also announced the Bangladesh ‘A’ team for the seven-team Top End T20 Series 2025, to be held in Darwin, Australia.

Nurul Hasan will lead the 15-member team, which is set to depart on August 7. This marks Bangladesh A’s second appearance in the tournament after finishing as runners-up in their debut season in 2024.

The Bangladesh ‘A’ team will begin their campaign against the Pakistan Shaheens on August 14.Ìý

Following that, the A team will face Nepal, Perth Scorchers, Melbourne Renegades, Melbourne Stars, and defending champion Adelaide Strikers on August 16, 17, 19, 21, and 23, respectively.
