TWO children drowned in a river at Jibannagar upazila in Chuadanga on Sunday.
The deceased were Rimon Hossain, 6, son of Md Sajib Hossain and Md Junayed Hossain, 7, son of M Jewel Mia, residents of Eidgah Para of Muktarpur village in the upazila.
Quoting local people, Jibannagar police station officer-in-charge Mamun Hossain Biswas said that Rimon and Junayed along with some other children went to Bhairab river after school hours to take a bath at noon and drowned.
Police are looking into the matter, the OC added.
