A seminar titled July 24 Mass Uprising: Expectations, Achievements and Actions was held at聽the Jatiya Press Club auditorium in Dhaka on Friday.
At the initiative of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami,cover of English and Arabic versions of a book titled Martyrs and Injured of the 2nd Independence was also unveiled on the occasion, said a press release.
Website containing information on martyrs鈥� memento was launched formally.聽
A documentary on the collection of information for the book 鈥楳artyrs and Injured of the 2nd Independence鈥� was screened in the programme.
The main article was presented by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General and former聽MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar with Jamaat-e-Islami Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman in the chair.
Prof Mujibur Rahman said, 鈥淎fter achieving independence for the first time in 1971, we have become independent for the second time in July-August 2024.鈥�
鈥淲e will have to fight for independence for the third time to end the slavery of man over man and establish the slavery of Allah. The law of Allah must be passed in the National Parliament. The liberation of people will not come with any ideology written by man. For this, the law of Allah must be introduced in this country,鈥� he said.

Col. (retd) Hasinur Rahman, Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir central president Zahidul Islam and Dhaka University president S. M. Farhad, among others, also spoke.
