The primary and mass education ministry has taken initiative to recruit 2,382 head teachers against vacant posts directly in different government primary schools across Bangladesh.

In this regard the ministry had sent demand to the Bangladesh Public Service Commission, said a press release issued by the ministry on Tuesday.


It also said that the ministry would appoint head teachers in all vacant posts in the government primary schools in the country.

As per the ministry currently in 65,569 government primary schools in the country 31,396 head teachers are working.

Currently in these schools a total of 34,106 posts for the head teachers remain vacant.

Among the vacant posts — 2,647 posts are for direct recruitment.

In other posts the assistant primary teachers join as head teachers after promotion.
