MetLife Bangladesh has settled claims worth Tk 1,396 crore in the first six months, or January-June period of 2025.
This amount includes money customers received as insurance benefits and claims for loss of life and medical needs, said a press release.

Of the total claims settled, claims for health and medical expenses were Tk 146 crore, death claims amounted to Tk 55 crore and maturity, partial maturity and other benefits were a total of Tk 1,195 crore.
MetLife maintains a consistent track record of timely claims settlement. In the year 2024, MetLife Bangladesh settled claims amounting to
Tk 2,895 crore, which was the highest among all life insurance companies in Bangladesh.
In Bangladesh, MetLife serves about 1 million individual customers and over 900 corporate clients.
