Bangladesh Lekhakak Shibir on Saturday formed 21-member central committee electing former general secretary Kazi Iqbal as president and Shafi Rahman as general secretary.
The committee was formed in the council session of the organisation held at Kabi Shamsur Rahman Auditorium at Bangla Academy.
The two-day conference was inaugurated on Friday at the auditorium which was followed by several discussion meetings and cultural programmes.
About one hundred councillors and delegates of the organisation from across the country attended the council session, a press release said.
