With the motto, ‘Let’s build a bright Tongibari together’, the general meeting of Tongibari Upazila Development and Welfare Association, Munshiganj was held at the Pushpa Dam Convention Hall of the Krira Parishad Bhaban in the capital on Saturday with the presence of more than a hundred members and distinguished guests.
The meeting was presided over by the president of the association and Karmasangsthan Bank chairman AFM Matiur Rahman, a former government secretary.
The meeting was moderated by the secretary general of the association and former additional secretary to the government Md Abu Bakar Siddique Mollah.
Former IGP Fatema Begum, former president Dhaka Bar advocate Mohsin Mia, former Judge Abdur Rouf, prominent businessman Rana Shafiullah, Md Yunus, Mosharraf Hossain, A Salam Niru Bhuiyan were present as guests.
The meeting formed a full-fledged committee for a three-year term, which was hoped to further organise the activities of the association.
