Bangladesh鈥檚 interim government postponed Higher Secondary Certificate and its equivalent examinations scheduled to be held on Tuesday in the country.
The decision was taken as the interim government is observing one-day state mourning on the day after a Bangladesh Air Force jet crashed into a building of Milestone School and College in the capital鈥檚 Uttara area on Monday, killing at least 27 and injuring 171.
Three separate press releases issued on Tuesday confirmed this.
A press release, issued by the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee on Tuesday, informed that the exams had been postponed to observe the mourning day, and Tuesday鈥檚 exams would be held later.
Earlier press release issued by the chief adviser鈥檚 press wing on Tuesday morning also said the exams for today have been postponed.
Another press release issued by the information and broadcasting ministry on Tuesday morning also said that the exams were suspended, quoting the education ministry adviser Professor CR Abrar.
