The Ohigsho Bangladesh on Sunday formed a 101-member central committee with Mohammad Abul Basher as president and Mohammad Mahbubul Alam Chowdhury as general secretary.
The organisation formed the committee in a council session at the National Press Club auditorium in the capital.
A discussion meeting was held prior to the council session. The founder of the organization, ABM Mostafa Amin, chaired the discussion.
Politicians, including Mujahidul Islam Selim, Zonayed Saki, Hasnat Quaiyum, and freedom fighter Nazim Uddin Ahmed, addressed the opening session.
They called on the interim government to take steps to recover the money siphoned abroad during the fascist Awami League regime and distribute the money to the small businessmen without any interest.
