A total of 22 individuals have won Hisense deep freezers and 43-inch Hisense smart TVs after receiving the highest remittances through bKash before Eid, said a press release.
The 22 winners received their prizes in two phases throughout bKash鈥檚 remittance campaign period. Recently, the last group of winners received their prize mementos at a ceremony held at bKash head office.
As part of the remittance campaign, relatives of expatriates who have received remittance of Tk 10,000 or more, excluding the 2.5 per cent government incentive, have received a discount coupon of Tk 500.
bKash and Hisense organised the campaign to encourage sending remittances through legal banking channels.
Currently, expatriates can send remittances to their relatives鈥� bKash accounts in Bangladesh as many times as needed from more than 140 countries, including UAE, Saudi Arabia, USA, UK, Malaysia, Singapore, Kuwait, Italy, Canada, France and South Korea, via 110 international MTOs.
These inward remittances are settled through 25 commercial banks and are instantly deposited into the recipients鈥� bKash accounts, featuring a government incentive of Tk 25 per Tk 1,000 remittance.
