The American International University-Bangladesh has organised a freshers’ reception for the newly admitted students of summer 2024-25 semester at the AIUB in Dhaka.

Separate sessions were held for freshers from the university’s five faculties, said a press release on Monday.


Officials from the Office of Student Affairs briefed the students on university regulations, academic programmes, student services and available support.

The event’s chief guest was Nadia Anwar, founding member and chairman of the board of trustees of AIUB.

She extended greetings to the new students and their parents, encouraging them to move forward with intelligence and discipline in this new chapter of their academic lives.

Additionally, the vice-chancellor of AIUB, Professor Saiful Islam, urged students to make the best use of the university’s facilities and opportunities.

AIUB pro-VC, registrar, proctor, deans and department heads also addressed the freshers, offering guidance and advice.

The programme, attended by faculty members, officials, students and parents, also featured a cultural programme staged by the AIUB Performing Arts Club.
