
A video documentary was screened at the Bangladesh Medical University on Tuesday in remembrance of the July Mass Uprising 2024.
BMU vice-chancellor Professor Md Shahinul Alam inaugurated the video documentary at the university’s Shaheed Dr Milon Hall in Dhaka’s Shahbagh, said a press release.
Speaking on the occasion, Shahinul Alam said that the July Revolution was a matter of emotion while many researches would be conducted in political science across the globe on the event in the days to come.
‘The revolution succeeded because people from all walks of life participated in it. The spirit of the July Revolution must be upheld in unison,’ he added.
Associate Professor Shakhawat Hossain Sayantha, dental faculty dean, elaborated on the theme and significance of the video documentary.
BMU’s pro-vice-chancellors Professor Md Abul Kalam Azad (administration), Professor Md Mujibur Rahman Hawlader (research and development), treasurer Professor Nahreen Akhtar, faculty of surgery dean Professor Md Ruhul Amin, registrar Professor Md Nazrul Islam, proctor Associate Professor Sheikh Farhad, other teachers, doctors, officials, nurses, and staff were present, among others.
