Islamic University formed a five-member body to investigate the assault of three journalists on the campus in Kushtia.

A release issued by IU acting registrar M Manjurul Haque Monday night said that IU vice-chancellor Nakib Mohammad Nasrullah formed the body led by Pharmacy department chairman M Mizanur Rahman.


Assistant proctor Mohammad Minnatul Karim was made the probe body member secretary while public administration department professor Md Lutfar Rahman, da鈥檞ah and Islamic studies department professor Muhammad Kamruzzaman and ICT department professor M Shariful Islam were the members.

The body was asked to submit its reports in 10 working days.

Earlier on July 12, three campus journalists were assaulted allegedly by some economics department students while covering a clash during a departmental football tournament on the campus.
