The police on Saturday recovered the body of a woman after her husband allegedly killed her by hitting in the head with a rod at Shalikha in Magura.
The deceased was identified as Sonali Begum, 40, a resident of Harishpur village of the upazila.
Shalikha police station officer-in-charge Md Oli Mia said that initially it was believed that Mizanur Mollah killed his wife due to a family dispute.
鈥楳izanur hit her in the head with a rod in front of their daughter Saturday morning,鈥� he said, adding that the body was sent for autopsy,
An investigation was going on and filing a case regarding the incident was under process, added the police official.
