Lebanon鈥檚 health ministry said an Israeli strike on south Lebanon on Saturday killed one person, the latest attack despite a ceasefire between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah.
In a statement, the ministry said that an 鈥業sraeli enemy strike鈥� on a home in Wata al-Khiam killed one person.
There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military on the incident.
Israel has repeatedly bombed Lebanon despite a November ceasefire that sought to end over a year of hostilities between Israel and the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah.
Under the agreement, Hezbollah was to pull its fighters back north of the Litani River, around 30 kilometres from the border with Israel.
Israel was required to fully withdraw its troops from Lebanon but has kept them deployed in five border points it deemed strategic.
On Friday, Lebanese president Joseph Aoun said that while he was open to peaceful relations with Israel, normalisation of ties was 鈥榥ot currently part of Lebanese foreign policy鈥�.
