
Bangladesh鈥檚 semi-final place in the AHF Men鈥檚 Under-18 Asia Cup hockey was confirmed after Pakistan beat China 2-1 in their Pool A final match at the Dazhou National Hockey Training Centre in Dazhou, China, on Wednesday.
Bangladesh placed second behind Pakistan in the five-team pool and will play Pool B champions Japan in the semi-final on Friday, while Pakistan will take on Pool B runners-up Malaysia in the other last four encounter on the same day.
Bangladesh finished with nine points from four games after their wins over Hong Kong 3-0, Sri Lanka 13-0 and China 5-2 before losing 6-3 to Pakistan.
Pakistan finished on 12 points after winning all four of their games as they beat Sri Lanka 9-0 and Hong Kong 8-0 in their other games.
The winners of the semi-finals of the 11-team tournament will play each other in the final on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh under-18 women鈥檚 team, who are competing in the tournament for the first time, conceded a 9-0 defeat to China in their first super-four match also on Wednesday. 聽
