The Rapid Action Battalion rescued a kidnapped female college student and arrested the main suspect, Md Rizvi, 24, at a residential hotel of Payra Chatwar in Rangpur on Monday.
Rizvi, a resident of Chhoto Hajipur village under Badarganj in the district, allegedly abducted the student on July 2 from Zamubari Ustapara area with accomplices.
The victim鈥檚 father filed a case with the Badarganj police station on July 5. On information, RAB-13 raided Shapla Chattar area and arrested Rizvi.
The arrested and the victim were handed over to Badarganj police for further action.
