A 35-year-old construction worker died after falling from the third floor of an under-construction building in the capital鈥檚 Mohammadpur on Monday.
The deceased, Md Imran, was a resident of Bagmara village under Rajbari Sadar in the district.
The incident occurred around 3:00pm while Imran was working on the third floor of a college building on Road 3 in Dhaka Udyan area.
According to witnesses, he fell accidentally while on duty and sustained critical injuries.
His co-worker, Md Kamal Gazi, took him immediately to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital at around 4:30pm, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Inspector Md Faruk, in-charge of the DMCH police outpost, said that the body has been kept at the hospital morgue for an autopsy.
An unnatural death case is likely to be filed in connection with the incident, the police added.
