Holy Ashura and the 1346th death anniversary of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R) was observed on Saturday at the Mia Shaheb's聽 Maidan Khanqah Sharif at Luxmibazar in the Old Dhaka.聽
Ninth goddinashin peer Hazrat Shah Sufi Sayed Ahamadur Rahim (Damat Barakatuhum), who is also the Mutawalli of Hazrat Shah Sufi Sayed Abu Yousuf Abdullah (RA) Waqf Estate and director of Mia Saheb's Maidan Shah Saheb Bari Jame Masjid, conducted the religious discussion, dua mahfil and akheri munajat.
The programme began through the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Mohammad Ishtiaq聽 Sazzadur Rahman, Hafez Md Faruq and聽 Hafez Mohammad Rohmotullah.
A discussion on the life and activities of the Islami thinkers, milad and dua mahfil, were organised after Magrib prayers at the khanqah sharif.聽
Besides, discussion was held on the Holy Ashura and sahidane karbala.
Pesh Imam Mufti Abdur Rahman Belali, who is also khatib of Shah Saheb鈥檚 Bari Jame Masjid, and other Islamic scholars participated in the discussion on the occasion. The milad mahfil was conducted by Sayed Barkatullah Badaruddin.
Later, tabarak was distributed among the devotees by convener of the programme Saiyed Taiyab Morshed Araf, said a press release.
