The Dhaka South City Corporation has approved a budget of Tk 3,841.38 crore for the financial year 2025–26.
The budget was approved at the 7th meeting of its management committee held at its headquarters Nagar Bhaban on Monday and presided over by DSCC administrator Md Shahjahan Mia.
As the ‘Urban Primary Health Care Services Delivery Project—Phase 2’, which has been providing essential healthcare and maternal services in the DSCC area since 1998, has ended, the city corporation has decided to continue the services through a memorandum of understanding with the non-governmental organisations that were involved in its first phase, according to a press release issued by the city corporation. Â
In accordance with a circular from the Ministry of Finance, the daily wage of temporary daily-based workers at the DSCC has been revised from Tk 600 to Tk 800.
Besides, the temporary mosque located in Mantripara is set to be transformed into a three-storey mosque.
The meeting was attended by the management committee’s 25 members, including DSCC chief executive officer Md Zillur Rahman and secretary Md Shafiqul Islam, said the release.Â
