
The first national conference titled ‘Towards a Sustainable Future Economic Stability, Political Reforms and Socio-Cultural Transformation in Bangladesh’ by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Pabna University of Science and Technology was held on Saturday.
Vice-chancellor of the university, professor SM Abdul Awal, was present at the conference as chief guest while pro-vice-chancellor professor Md Nazrul Islam and treasurer professor Md Shamim Ahsan were present as special guests.
Rajshahi University’s pro-vice-chancellor for education professor Md Farid Uddin Khan was the keynote speaker at the conference while former vice-chancellor of Islamic University professor M Rafiqul Islam and the dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences professor Mir Khaled Iqbal Chowdhury were present as guests of honour.
Eighty researchers from seven universities as well as academicians from different universities participated in the conference.
Deans of various faculties, all teachers of the humanities and social sciences faculty and others were also present at the event.
