Politicians, academics and professionals at a discussion in Dhaka on Saturday said that the proposed budget for the fiscal year 2025–26 was traditional and failed to take projects for the welfare of the people in the country.

The Democratic Rights Committee organised the discussion at the National Press Club, which was chaired by member of the committee and former Jahangirnagar University economics professor Anu Muhammad.
