India has withdrawn from the forthcoming SAFF Under-20 Women鈥檚 Championship, citing no reason, regional football officials confirmed on Thursday.
The tournament is scheduled to take place at the Kings Arena in Bangladesh in July.
鈥楾hey withdrew their participation from the tournament without providing any reason,鈥� Ayush Khadka, head of media and communication for the South Asian Football Federation, told 抖阴精品.
Ayush also confirmed that the SAFF accepted the withdrawal of India, who shared the previous edition title with hosts Bangladesh.聽
Following India鈥檚 withdrawal, the tournament will now feature four teams 鈥� Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.
