
Most of the films released on Saturday during the Eid-ul-Azha holidays received a huge response from audiences. 聽
Raihan Rafi-directed film Taandob, Alok Hasan-directed film Togor, Mithu Khan-directed film NeelChokrom, Tanim Noor-directed film Utshob, Sunny Sanwar-directed film Esha Murder: Karmaphal and Sanjoy Somadder-directed film Insaaf were released on the Eid day.
Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan starrer Eid film Taandob was released in 132 cinemas and got a huge response from film lovers thronging the cinemas to experience its action scenes.聽 聽According to Star Cineplex, on Thursday, almost all tickets of Taandob sold out till Saturday. Besides, tickets for Utshob and Insaaf also sold out till Friday.
Star Cineplex has screened all six Eid films during Eid-ul-Azha. The Cineplex, however, will stop screening Togor from today, and will increase the shows of 鈥楾aandob鈥 and 鈥楿tshob鈥 instead.
Media and marketing manager of Star Cineplex Mesbah Uddin Ahmed said, 鈥榃e are screening 46 shows of 鈥淭aandob鈥 daily in our branches and we will stop screening 鈥淭ogor鈥 to increase the shows of 鈥淭aandob鈥 and 鈥淯tshob鈥 from Friday.鈥
Day by day the audience response of 鈥楿tshob鈥 is increasing, said Mesbah Uddin Ahmed.
Owner of Madhumita Cinema Iftekhar Uddin Nawshad said that his cinema was running four shows of 鈥楾aandob鈥 daily.
鈥楽hakib Khan Fans are enjoying his movie and Madhumita is the biggest cinema hall in the city welcoming the audiences,鈥 Nawshad said, adding that one of their air-conditioner is not working during the shows but they do not stop shows because of high demand from the audiences. 聽 聽 聽
Bangladesh Film Exhibitors鈥 Association senior vice-president Mia Alauddin said that most single-screen cinemas screen the Shakib Khan starrer film Taandob.
鈥楢 few single-screen cinemas are featuring Togor, Insaaf and NeelChokrom,鈥 Mia Alauddin said, adding that although Taandob grabs a huge audience, it is not like Borbaad, Shakib Khan鈥檚 previous film.
