The Leicester City midfielder made his debut for Bangladesh against India on March 25. He is anticipated to play at home for the first time in the friendly match against Bhutan on Wednesday.

Bangladesh face Singapore in the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers on June 10. Both matches will be held at the National Stadium in Dhaka, which is set to host its first international fixture in four years.

‘Hello, Assalam Walaikum, everyone. Just wanted to say thank you to all the fans, media and journalists for my reception, again,’ Hamza said in a video message provided by the Bangladesh Football Federation on Monday.

‘Looking forward to meeting up with the team and preparing for two big games. Inshallah, we’ll be successful, and I’ll see you all there to support us.’

Apart from Hamza, Italy-based forward Fahamedul Islam joined the team training on Saturday, while Canada-based midfielder Shamit Shome is scheduled to arrive on June 4.
