A two-day ‘Career Fest’ began under the initiative of Dhaka University Career Club on DU campus on Tuesday.

DU vice-chancellor Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan inaugurated the fest as the chief guest at a function at the Teacher-Student Centre auditorium, said a press release.


The fest has been organised with the aim of enhancing the skills of students and providing assistance in career formation.

The inaugural function was presided over by the club president Ishtiaq Shahriar Alok. Club moderator Kazi Golam Rabbani Mawla, Guardian Life Insurance senior vice-president Farzana Quader, acting director of the TSC Farzana Basar, former club president Mahmudul Hasan Marzuk and former vice-president Azhar Bhaiyan were present as special guests. Club general secretary Muntasir Bin Siddique expressed the vote of thanks.

Twenty-five domestic and international organisations are participating in the fest. Job-seeking students can submit their resumes at the stalls of these organisations. Besides, six sessions will be held in this fest on various topics, including pursuing higher education abroad and career planning.
