The Ganosamhati Andolan, a partner of Ganatantra Mancha, on Thursday demanded a specific road map for next general elections for democratic transition of the country.
The chief coordinator of the party, Zonayed Saki, and executive coordinator Abul Hassan Rubel in a joint press statement said that the interim government should announce a specific road map for holding the next general elections after carrying out trial of the fascists and implementing required reforms.
The interim government was formed after fall of the fascist Awami League government on August 5 following a student-led mass uprising with the support of pro-uprising political parties, the Ganosamhati leaders said.
The interim government should make decisions to ensure early democratic transition of the country on the basis of the discussions with the political parties, Ganosamhati leaders said.
